What is cardiac rehabilitation?

It is a medically supervised program designed to help improve your cardiovascular health through:

  • Exercise counseling
  • Healthy living education (managing risk factors, choosing a good diet, quitting smoking)
  • Stress reduction counseling.

You don't have to treat your heart disease alone .It is a team effort. It is a medically supervised program.

Who should participate?

Many people of all ages who have heart disease can benefit from a cardiac rehabilitation program. return You may benefit if you have or have had :

  • Heart attack
  • angina pectoris
  • heart failure
  • Coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG)
  • Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
  • Valve replacement
  • Pacemaker or implantable defibrillator
